About This Beer

Mangaroa Wild Hop Pilsner is an extremely limited edition of our Wild Hop Pilsner. A local farmer presented us with some mysterious hops he was growing and asked if we’d like to brew a beer with them. We said yes! Unique and flavoursome with notes of fresh mown hay and cabernet sauvignon. After the third sip, you’ll be wishing for a pint and a quiet place to enjoy it.

Brewers Notes

Upper Hutt farmer Graeme came to us with a baggie of hop flowers and asked if might be interested in brewing something with them. We said 'sure!', but that we'd need a whole lot more. Two years later in 2018, we harvested 24kg and we brewed our first batch of this unique, local pilsner!
